Met Gala 2019: Camp Hits and Misses
Every year on the first Monday in May, the annual Met Gala brings together the world’s celebrities to celebrate the opening of the new fashion exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum in New York. The extravagant themes, decorations, guests, and clothing all culminate to create fashion’s biggest night of the year and this year’s theme, “Camp: Notes on Fashion”, set the stage for some extravagant and eye catching looks. Camp is the love of exaggeration, irony, and theatricality, and while some celebrities flawlessly demonstrated the theme, others missed the mark.
